** Note: We're posting things to this list as we go, and I don't expect it to list everything that we want to list until probably midnight Friday. Please check back later for a fuller list. **

We've got too much stuff so we've gotta move it outta here before we suffocate. It's been years since our last yard sale, and we've accumulated a lot of good stuff. Some was inherited. Some we bought new. Some we bought at other yard sales. Some, well, we're not sure how it got here. *shrug* What can I say? We're packrats.

We remember our last yard sale, and it was not much fun. It took us forever to go through and price stuff, then we had to get up really early, and pack up the stuff when we were done. The memory has kept us from having another for quite some time, and instead we've boxed up the extra stuff and labeled it "Yard sale" over the past several years.

Well, enough's enough. We have two vanloads, a good chunk of a storage shed, and half a living room full of good quality stuff that's mostly gently used, and we're ready to pass it on to good homes. Hence the ad that says "Most must go".

Now around here in the nearby neighborhoods, most people have yard sales without a lot to choose from, so I think the yard sale fanatics pass up this neighborhood more often than not. We weren't very satisfied with the traffic we got last time, so this time, we decided to try this website.

The following is not a complete list, but we wanted to whet your appetite to realize there's a lot of buried treasure here that's worth driving out here for. Not that we're way out of the way - we're off of Old Morgantown Road behind Tapp's drive-in restaurant. If you want to ask about anything we have on this list, email at mbdil@yahoo.com

Incidentally, feel free to make an offer if you see something you want for more than you want to give for it, but you might as well know that we'd rather hang on to some of the items than let them go for much less than we're asking. Might as well ask. We'll be more flexible as the day goes on.

Entertainment Center

Big enough for a 25 inch or so standard def TV, with a wood finish and plenty of shelf room for other stuff. Asking $30

Stereo with turntable

Soundesign brand, and not exactly high-end, but it works well. I used it for a homemade surround sound system for my rear speakers, so its speaker wires are like 20 feet long. Dual cassette player and radio also. Asking $20.

Hepa Filter

Probably needs a new main filter by now, but the case is mechanically sound, and the prefilter alone will probably take care of most people's needs. Your actual mileage may vary. Asking $5

Fisher DVD player

Retailed for $230 when I bought it. It has discreet audio outputs, so you can run a separate feed to each of your speakers and kind of build your own home surround sound system. It's a good one, but it's getting more and more picky over time. It doesn't like home-burnt DVD-Rs, and if a DVD's seriously scratched or has some abnormal copy protection, it's prone to choke. The other bad news is that its cool remote control has gone awol, so you'll need to use a universal remote. Asking $10.

lockable chest / Foot locker

Brass table with glass top

Diaper genie

Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking House ...

... plus lots of add-ons. House comes with garden, pool, talking van, living room, dining room, bathroom, parent's room, Dora's room, Media room, nursery add-on house, nursery set, plus many figures including Diego, Swiper, Boots, Grandma, twins, several Doras, and parents. If you bought all this stuff new, it would retail for about $200 The items are in good to great condition, and although Fisher price has recalled some similar items, these items have been checked and are NOT a part of that recall, so they're good to go. Asking $75.

Retired Fisher Price Aztec pyramid play set

with many extras such as the explorer on a camel, the mummy chariot, disc shooting cobra, and large mummy. In good condition. Asking $30

Retired Fisher Price Magical Sounds castle

with Cyclops, battering ram, weapon wagon, cannon and cannon balls and several figures. Some of the knights and Cyclops activate sounds when stepping on a pad outside the castle drawbridge. In good condition. Retailed for $75 or so, asking $35.

Fisher Price Dress up Dora

with bed and closet plus lots of outfits/accessories. Pet doctor(with dog/cat), bedtime, gardener, rain set, fiesta set, baker, artist, and more. In very good condition. Retailed for about $130. Asking $35

Hand made wooden rocking horse.

Asking $10

Pirate ship playset

complete with several pirates, cannon and cannon balls, row boat, crow's nest, sails, and treasure chests. Asking $20

Radio Shack Street Tiger remote control truck

orange, small size. Asking $5

Zoids-Graivity Saix with gear movement.

Purple dragon like figure, mostly put together. Asking $10

Wooden chess set

Handmade (or so I'm told) asking $20.

Assortment of Medabots(large size)

A couple in boxes and others in various stages of being built. Asking $10.

Build a jet by Tonka with pilot(lego size blocks)

Asking $5.

World Book Encyclopedia

A 20-some volume set, and a brand new one's several hundred dollars. First, the bad news - ours is from 1984. Still, for historical and biographical information, not much has changed, and this can be pretty nice as a research aid for school kids. Asking $30 OBO.

Illustrated Science and Invention Encyclopedia

Also somewhat outdated (1982), but it's really good - Every invention and scientific topic you can imagine seems to be covered, and it would be a great starting point for any school kid with scientific ambitions. We wouldn't mind keeping it other than the fact that it's a 23 volume set and we're out of bookshelf space. I was told it was a few hundred dollars new. Asking $20.

Books

Genres range from Dave Barry, literature classics we had to buy for school assignments, textbooks, Christian Fiction, business books, and naturally, childrens books. (chapter books, Dr seuss, kids fantasy books, etc). Also an entire box labeled cookbooks, and I have some "Foxtrot", "Dilbert", and "Calvin and Hobbes" collections I'm ready to let go of.

VHS tapes

This picture is SO not enough. The pic has mostly blues clues stuff, but we'll have a variety of movies, including some other quality films for the non-kids as well as other kids movies. If you like movies, it's worth making a stop. Most VHSs will be $1 and DVDs $3. One thing I'm offering for sure - an unopened copy of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" for $3.

Board Games

Fisher price table and chairs

The following is not on site at the yardsale, but is available for sale on request:

6 foot bookshelf - White

Sells new at Walmart for $30, but we ended up buying one too many. One corner on the bottom shelf is disconnected and the paint's scraped off for a few square inches, but the shelf is nothing a good nail or two couldn't fix. Asking $10.

My Little Pony castle

with furniture, sweet shop with accessories,

beauty shop with accessories, and Twinkle Twirl dance studio plus many ponies, a motorbike, and many, many accessories. In very good condition. Asking $75

Fisher price first-release Sweet Streets Set
